Energy Consultant - London
£60,000-£90,000 DOE + Clear Route to Director
I am recruiting for a leading building services consultancy that is investing heavily in the growth of its UK operation. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Energy Consultant to take a leading role in establishing and developing a new energy and sustainability function within the business.

The Role
As an Energy Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality energy and sustainability services while helping to build and lead the UK energy offering.
You will work closely with clients, architects, developers and design teams across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential and mission-critical projects.
This is a highly visible position where you will have the opportunity to influence business growth, develop new service lines and establish yourself as a recognised industry expert.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the delivery of energy and sustainability projects across the UK.
- Acting as the primary client contact for energy and building performance services.
- Supporting the growth and development of the UK Energy Team.
- Producing and reviewing Energy Statements, Sustainability Statements and compliance reports.
- Delivering building performance analysis using tools such as IES VE.
- Advising clients on Net Zero Carbon strategies and energy reduction measures.
- Supporting business development activities and helping secure new projects.
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants as the team grows.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.

What You'll Need
- Experience working as a Senior, Principal or Associate-level Energy Consultant.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience delivering energy and sustainability consultancy services.
- Excellent understanding of:
- IES VE
- Part L Compliance
- SBEM
- SAP
- TM52 / TM59
- BREEAM
- NABERS UK
- Building Physics
- Net Zero Carbon Strategies
- Experience managing projects and working directly with developers, architects and end clients.
- A commercial mindset with an interest in supporting business growth.
- Previous team leadership or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
