Due to continued growth, ENCOM Energy Compliance Consultancy Ltd is looking for an Energy Consultant to join our expanding team.
ENCOM is an independent energy compliance and consultancy business working with a wide range of commercial clients across the UK. We provide specialist services including Commercial EPCs, ESOS, SECR, TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections, energy audits, MEES improvement advice, Part L assessments and net-zero / energy efficiency consultancy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant, assessor or energy professional who would like to develop their technical knowledge, gain additional professional accreditations and work across a varied national portfolio of commercial buildings.
The Role
Depending on your existing experience and qualifications, your work may include:
- Undertaking commercial building energy surveys and audits
- Producing Commercial EPC assessments and energy models
- Carrying out TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections
- Supporting ESOS energy audits and compliance projects
- Energy consumption and carbon emissions analysis
- Identifying practical energy-saving opportunities
- EPC improvement and MEES compliance modelling
- Preparing professional technical reports and recommendations
- Liaising directly with clients, building managers and facilities teams
- Supporting SECR, carbon reporting and net-zero projects
- Travelling to commercial properties throughout the UK for site surveys

About You
We would be interested in hearing from candidates with experience in areas such as:
- Energy consultancy
- Commercial EPC assessment
- ESOS energy auditing
- TM44 Air Conditioning Inspections
- Building services engineering
- Energy management
- Sustainability or carbon consultancy
Existing qualifications such as Commercial Energy Assessor, ESOS Lead Assessor, TM44 Air Conditioning Inspector, Low Carbon Consultant, CIBSE or Energy Institute membership would be advantageous, but we are also interested in candidates who have relevant industry experience and would like to develop these qualifications.
You should be comfortable working independently, managing site visits and producing high-quality technical reports.
A full UK driving licence will be required due to nationwide site travel.
Training & Career Development
Professional development is a major part of this role.
We actively support our consultants in developing additional qualifications and professional accreditations, including:
- Commercial EPC Levels 3–5
- ESOS Lead Assessor
- TM44 Air Conditioning Inspector
- Energy auditing and energy management qualifications
- Relevant CIBSE, Energy Institute and other professional memberships
You will have the opportunity to gain experience across energy auditing, EPC improvement modelling, ESOS, SECR, TM44, MEES and net-zero projects, with support from experienced energy professionals.
There will be clear opportunities to progress towards roles such as Senior Energy Consultant, Lead Assessor and Technical Manager as the company continues to grow.
