Energy & Infrastructure Transactions Associate

Location: London
Working pattern: Hybrid
Practice area: International Practice

Already working within a strong City, international or US law firm and wondering what the next stage of your career could look like?

We are working with a leading international law firm looking to strengthen its London Energy & Infrastructure practice with an Associate who wants to build a broader transactional career.

This opportunity is particularly interesting because it isn't confined to one narrow area of infrastructure or energy work.

The team operates across the wider lifecycle of major investments, transactions and projects, giving Associates the opportunity to develop experience across M&A, project development, investments, structured transactions and financing.

The opportunity

You will work with major investors, sponsors, developers, financial institutions and international corporates on sophisticated UK and cross-border matters across areas including:

  • Infrastructure and energy M&A
  • Major project development
  • Energy transition and renewables
  • Infrastructure investments
  • Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
  • Structured transactions
  • Equity investments and financings
  • Acquisitions and disposals
  • Major infrastructure projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are we looking to speak with?

We are particularly interested in Associates currently working within a leading City, international or US law firm with experience across infrastructure, energy, resources or projects.

You may currently specialise in projects, energy transactions, infrastructure finance, infrastructure M&A or another related area and feel ready to broaden your practice.

Equally, you may already have a varied transactional background and simply be looking for a platform that can provide greater international exposure, sophisticated work and long-term progression.

We're looking for lawyers with strong technical and drafting skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to take increasing ownership of transactions and client relationships.
