Job Description

You will be responsible for developing and leading the global energy intelligence capability, ensuring the organization has accurate, trusted, and actionable insights to support energy sourcing strategies, cost optimization, risk management, sustainability objectives, and strategic decision-making. The role serves as the global owner of energy data governance, analytics, performance reporting, and market intelligence, creating a single source of truth for energy-related information across regions, manufacturing locations, and business functions.

Linking closely with our external energy consultants to ensure full alignment with the O-I strategy and reporting requirements, you will work closely with the Director, Global Energy & Risk Management, Procurement, Finance & Controlling, Sustainability, Operations, regional energy teams, and the enterprise Data & Analytics Hub. This role transforms energy data into business intelligence through advanced analytics, digital solutions, automation, and AI-enabled decision support. The role also acts as a key capability partner to the Procurement Strategy & Excellence Centre of Excellence (COE), ensuring alignment with Procurement analytics standards, digital priorities, value measurement methodologies, and enterprise reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global energy data governance, reporting standards, and analytics capabilities.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and performance reporting to support business decisions.
  • Deliver market intelligence and insights on energy trends, pricing, regulations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with the Procurement Strategy & Excellence COE to integrate energy analytics into procurement reporting and value measurement.
  • Drive AI, automation, predictive analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, ROI modelling, savings validation, and value realization tracking.
  • Build executive dashboards and presentations that translate data into clear business recommendations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree, MBA, or relevant analytical qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy analytics, procurement analytics, business intelligence, finance analytics, commodity markets, or related fields.
  • Experience working in multinational and matrix or helix organizations.
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making through analytics and insights.
  • Experience managing large datasets, reporting automation, and dashboard development.
  • Experience in manufacturing, energy-intensive industries, or commodity markets preferred.
