About the role
As our Energy Operations Manager within the Energy Management division, you'll be responsible for the operational management, commercial performance, and day-to-day delivery oversight of the survey, compliance, analysis, and advisory functions within the division. Managing a team of technical specialists, you'll oversee resource planning, client delivery, financial performance, and continuous improvement across key energy compliance and advisory services, including ESOS and Heat Network Regulations. Working closely with colleagues across the business, including our Technology team, you'll help identify opportunities to harness AI and digital innovation to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery. As a member of the divisional leadership team, you'll play a key role in shaping strategy, supporting business growth, and ensuring our services deliver outstanding outcomes for clients. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both strong operational management skills and the technical expertise to support delivery when needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
