About Neruda Capital
Neruda Capital is an independent proprietary trading firm operating across global energy and commodity markets. We deploy our own capital across both systematic and discretionary strategies, combining experienced traders, quantitative analysis, technology, and disciplined risk management. As we continue to expand our trading operations internationally, we are looking to speak with experienced individual traders as well as established trading teams interested in joining and building their business within Neruda Capital. Opportunities are available across our operations in London, Dubai, and Singapore.
The Opportunity
We are interested in traders and teams with established expertise across energy and commodity markets, including:
- Crude oil and derivatives
- Fuel oil and marine fuels
- Middle distillates
- Gasoline and naphtha
- LPG
- Natural gas and LNG
- Power and emissions
- Other complementary commodity markets
We are particularly interested in individuals or teams with a demonstrable trading edge, a strong understanding of their markets, and the ambition to develop and scale a profitable trading business. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to take ownership of their trading strategy and P&L within an established proprietary trading environment, supported by capital, technology, market access, risk management, and operational infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
