At Liberty, we're looking for an exceptional Director of Energy Transition to lead the strategic, operational, and commercial growth of our Energy Transition Division. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative renewable energy solutions, expanding our market presence, and helping communities achieve their sustainability goals.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead a growing division responsible for the delivery of renewable energy projects including Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps, emerging technologies, and technical consultancy services.

🔥 What You'll Be Doing
As Director of Energy Transition, you will:
- Lead and deliver the long-term strategy for the division
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives
- Drive operational excellence across renewable energy installation and consultancy services
- Oversee the successful delivery of projects from concept through to commissioning
- Manage divisional budgets, forecasts, profitability, and full P&L accountability
- Present strategic plans and performance updates to senior leadership
- Build, inspire, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams
- Champion innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement
- Develop strong relationships with local authorities, government bodies, clients, and strategic partners
- Represent Liberty within industry forums and stakeholder partnerships

🎯 What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from ambitious leaders who can demonstrate:
- Significant senior leadership experience with responsibility for business growth, revenue, and profitability
- Proven Experience Leading Large-scale Operational Delivery Functions
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with full P&L accountability
- A track record of driving strategic change and organisational growth
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience developing and leading high-performing teams
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and the energy transition sector (desirable)
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
