An established and highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor to join its Enforcement team in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, or enforcement to join a well-established and growing team, managing a varied caseload and playing a key role in ensuring clients successfully recover damages, legal costs, disbursements, and other sums due following settlement or judgment.

The firm specialises in housing litigation and has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality client service. You’ll join a supportive environment that places a strong emphasis on training, development, and long-term progression.

The Role

As an Enforcement Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters, with a particular focus on recovering outstanding damages, costs, disbursements, and other sums following settlement, judgment, or breach of agreement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters from instruction through to recovery.
• Reviewing settlement agreements, judgments, Court Orders, and costs schedules to identify sums due.
• Monitoring payment deadlines and taking appropriate action where payments are not made.
• Preparing and issuing letters before action and formal demands.
• Handling credit control and enforcement of legal damages, costs, and disbursements.
• Negotiating the recovery of associated legal fees and expenses.
• Issuing Part 8 proceedings and making enforcement applications.
• Preparing N260 schedules.
• Pursuing unpaid judgments, damages, and costs.
• Liaising with clients, Defendants, Courts, enforcement agents, and other third parties.
• Managing deadlines effectively and ensuring matters progress promptly.
• Providing a high level of client service throughout the recovery process.
