A bit about us

Do you want to help create a better world for animals?

At the RSPCA, we believe animal welfare is everyone's welfare. Join us in creating a better world for every animal. We can do it if we work together — everyone for every animal. Choose a career with us and make a difference.

We are looking for a new team member to join us as an Engagement and Innovation Manager.

  • Working hours: 35 hours / Monday – Friday
  • Location: This is a hybrid role, primarily remote-based with the expectation to attend occasional meetings in London or Horsham.
  • Contract: 12-month fixed-term maternity cover.

What a day might look like for you

Do you have a passion for innovation and a talent for turning ideas into meaningful results?

As our Engagement Innovation Manager, you'll help shape how the RSPCA engages with supporters and new audiences, developing innovative opportunities that generate income and ultimately help us create a better world for animals.

  • You'll lead the innovation pipeline, using audience insight, supporter needs and emerging market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • From developing new products and channels to improving existing services and supporter experiences, you'll help turn great ideas into solutions that deliver real impact.

This is a highly collaborative role. You'll work across teams and directorates to bring people together, challenge thinking and create a culture where innovation can thrive. You'll provide expert advice on innovation approaches, from research and ideation through to prototyping and delivery, ensuring new ideas are tested, developed and focused on what matters most to our supporters and the animals we exist to protect.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Final note from us & good luck with your application!

We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible

We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed to our purpose.
