Engagement Manager - Value Communications & PMA Strategy
About the Opportunity
I’m currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded life sciences strategy consultancy that is continuing to grow its London team.
Having successfully supported this client with multiple placements over recent months, we’re now partnering with them again on a further critical hire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation in the market, a growing client base, and a track record of working on high-profile commercialisation challenges across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech sectors.
We’re looking for an Engagement Manager with a blend of value communications and pricing & market access (PMA) strategy experience.
The role would suit someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with compelling communication; translating complex clinical, economic, and market evidence into differentiated value propositions, while also shaping broader pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies.
The Role
As an Engagement Manager, you will take a leading role across multiple client engagements, working closely with senior client stakeholders and managing project teams and workstreams.
You will sit at the intersection of value, evidence, communications, pricing, and market access, helping clients answer some of the most important strategic questions across the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a senior day-to-day client contact and leading project teams across value communications and PMA engagements.
- Developing compelling value propositions and communication strategies grounded in clinical, economic, and market evidence.
- Leading pricing and market access strategy projects, including stakeholder needs, access landscapes, pricing considerations, and value proposition development.
- Translating complex research and analysis into clear, persuasive, and actionable strategic recommendations.
- Developing senior-level client materials, including value narratives, communication platforms, strategic frameworks, and executive presentations.
- Managing and mentoring consultants and analysts across project workstreams.
- Working closely with senior leadership to ensure projects deliver commercially relevant, high-quality recommendations.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior client audiences and facilitating client workshops and working sessions.
- Contributing to business development through proposal development, methodology design, project scoping, and client pitches.
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the firm's value communications and PMA capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Value communications / value proposition development

In particular, we're interested in people who can demonstrate:
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking.
- The ability to turn complex evidence into clear, compelling narratives.
- Experience developing client-ready recommendations and presentations.
- Confidence engaging with senior pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders.
- Strong project and team leadership capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine interest in the intersection between evidence, value, communication, pricing, and market access.
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established specialist consultancy with a strong reputation in the life sciences market, rather than a business still finding its footing.
The team works on global, varied, high-impact commercialisation projects and offers significant exposure to senior client stakeholders and strategic questions across the product lifecycle.
For the right person, the role also provides an opportunity to broaden their experience across value communications and PMA, making it particularly interesting for candidates who may currently sit more heavily on one side of that intersection.
