Engine Bay Dismantler

We’re looking for a hands-on Engine Bay Dismantler to safely remove, dismantle, and organise engine and gearbox components for resale and recycling at our Skelmersdale Workshop, WN8 9SU.

This workshop-based role is key to reducing waste and supporting sustainable vehicle part reuse for sale to both trade and retail customers.

About Us

Green Parts Specialists Ltd (GPS Ltd) are the UK’s leading ISO Accredited Vehicle Recycling Company, responsible for facilitating the collection, dismantling and recycling of motor vehicles.

Salary

The salary for this position is £28,850 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, and dismantle engines/gearboxes
  • Strip units into components and carry out basic repairs
  • Inspect, label, tag, and photograph parts for stock listings
  • Input accurate data into company systems
  • Wrap and store parts correctly for stock or dispatch
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace
  • Work to targets while following all health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Basic mechanical knowledge (engines/gearboxes)
  • Confident using hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a busy workshop environment (advantageous)
