Job Role
Creative Assembly / SEGA is recruiting for the role of Engine QA Analyst. The role is for an Engine QA Analyst embedded in the Graphics development team, focusing on engine and graphics testing. It involves testing new features and bug fixes, working across manual and automated testing, and supporting reporting and stability.

What you’ll do
- Test new and updated graphics engine features for functionality, performance, and stability.
- Design, execute, and maintain test plans for engine features and in-game systems.
- Run milestone test sweeps to identify regressions, performance issues, and workflow blockers.
- Work with developers to find automation opportunities and add automated checks to QA processes.
- Diagnose and triage technical issues, then produce clear bug reports and support root cause analysis.
- Act as a point of contact for graphics testing and provide guidance to stakeholders.
- Represent Engine QA in graphics meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to improvement of QA processes, frameworks, and documentation standards.

What they’re looking for
- Have proven QA experience in game development or a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Have previous experience in a technical QA role within games or related software testing.
- Be able to self-manage workload and identify testing priorities proactively.
- Be organized, manage time well, and follow a structured approach to investigating issues.
- Communicate clearly in writing and through reports and documentation.
- Have experience working in Agile development environments.
- Have a passion for video games and a desire to contribute to the development process.
- Experience testing game engines or graphics systems is desirable.

Additional role information
- The team works collaboratively with Core Technology, Tech Art, Tools, and Game QA.
- Most roles at Creative Assembly are hybrid with three days a week in the studio.
- The studio site has disabled access.
