Position: CSA Engineer
Our client is a leading data centre main contractor delivering a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, near Newcastle. This landmark project is being delivered over a 10-year phased programme and represents one of the largest data centre developments in the UK.
They are seeking an experienced CSA Engineer to join their site team, supporting the technical delivery of the Civil, Structural and Architectural works and ensuring construction activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the engineering activities associated with the CSA works.
- Review construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation, resolving engineering queries as required.
- Liaise with the design team, subcontractors and site management to ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and building regulations.
- Coordinate inspections, testing and quality assurance procedures across CSA packages.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes, ensuring these are communicated to the relevant project teams.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and assist in resolving technical and construction issues.
- Ensure accurate engineering records, as-built drawings and handover documentation are maintained.
- Work closely with the wider project team to coordinate CSA activities with MEP installations.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a CSA Engineering role within a main contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural and architectural construction methods.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects; data centre experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Strong technical, organisational and communication skills.
