Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically biased)
Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
- Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–10:30pm and Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm
Salary
Competitive – shift allowance included

We are recruiting an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation.
You will act as the site’s electrical specialist when issues arise, while also supporting planned maintenance, production breakdowns, equipment upgrades and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete electrical fault finding and repairs across PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Undertake hands-on mechanical maintenance involving conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, and bearings.
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and support equipment reliability improvements.
- Assist with site upgrades, modifications, and new electrical installations.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and improvement of production equipment.
- Work closely with production teams to identify faults and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A time-served apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong electrical fault-finding, repair, and installation skills.
- Solid mechanical maintenance knowledge and a willingness to complete predominantly mechanical work.
- At least five years’ engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- A safety-focused and proactive approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles.
- Experience within chemical, food, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- An understanding of DSEAR or ATEX regulations.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or CMMS systems.
