Engineer (M&E) - Resident Engineer

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled M&E Engineer to join our Facilities Management team as a Resident Engineer on behalf of our client, JLL.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a high-profile luxury residential development in North London, providing exceptional building maintenance services in an environment that demands the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

The site comprises 93 luxury senior living apartments, with individual residences valued between £1.5 million and £5 million, making this one of the most prestigious residential environments in London.

About The Role

As the Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of all mechanical and electrical systems across the development. You will play a key role in ensuring the building remains safe, compliant and operating efficiently while delivering an outstanding service experience to residents, guests and stakeholders.

This is a highly visible position requiring someone who is confident engaging with residents, clients and customers on a daily basis, providing a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on M&E systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain plant rooms, HVAC systems, electrical systems and associated building services.
  • Ensure all compliance and health & safety requirements are met.
  • Liaise directly with residents, the client and site stakeholders.
  • Manage contractors and specialist suppliers when required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Participate in a 1 in 3 call-out rota.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
  • Experience working in high-end residential, commercial or premium customer-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, polished and confident approach when dealing with clients and residents.
  • Ability to work independently as the dedicated on-site engineer
