Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Engineer role based in Bristol. The Engineer will contribute to the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-precision measurement instruments and related systems for customers across various industries. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing calibration and validation procedures, and ensuring equipment operates according to specifications and regulatory standards. The role also involves collaborating with sales and application teams, supporting product demonstrations, training end users on proper instrument use, and documenting service activities and technical findings. The Engineer will work closely with global colleagues to share best practices, support continuous improvement, and uphold Anton Paar’s quality and safety standards.

- Strong technical background in engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or physics) and familiarity with laboratory or process instrumentation.
- Experience with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of scientific or industrial equipment, including reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
- Ability to analyze measurement data, perform root-cause analysis, and apply systematic problem-solving methods to complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers, providing training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Solid organizational and documentation skills, including accurate service reporting and adherence to quality and safety procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering or science field; advanced technical certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, or automotive motorsport is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed and to participate in ongoing technical training and development.
