Electrical Engineer
Spire Alexandra Hospital | Chatham | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 Hours

At Spire Alexandra Hospital, our Engineering team plays a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Estates team and help keep our hospital environment running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and hospital infrastructure. From fault finding and testing to supporting critical building services, you'll work in a modern healthcare environment where your skills have a direct impact on patients, colleagues, and visitors every day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Electrical testing, fault finding, and minor installations
- Supporting essential hospital systems, including electrical infrastructure, ventilation, and water services
- Working alongside specialist contractors and ensuring compliance with HTM guidance
- Participating in a 1-in-4 on-call rota
- Helping drive continuous improvement across the hospital estate

What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Healthcare Buildings Maintenance with an electrical bias background
- UPS, IPS, 3-phase and single-phase circuits, motor, inverters, generators, switch rooms
- Experience in electrical maintenance and repair
- Able to understand the requirements under HTM-06 and be either LV Competent Person or LV Authorised Person qualified and carry an 18th edition certificate
