Crane Engineer
Location: Erith
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including Speedy Work Life Balance (SWLB)

Our highly skilled Crane Engineers play a vital role in helping customers maintain safe, compliant and reliable lifting equipment across a wide range of industries.
We're looking for an experienced Crane Engineer to join our team in Erith. If you're passionate about engineering, enjoy problem solving and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Crane Engineer, you'll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of overhead travelling cranes, hoists and associated lifting equipment. Working across a variety of customer sites, you'll ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational while building strong relationships with customers through your technical expertise and professional approach.
Health and safety will always be your number one priority as you deliver a first-class service that helps our customers meet their statutory obligations and minimise downtime.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspection and maintenance of overhead cranes and hoists.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
- Completing preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability.
- Undertaking fault finding, retrofits, modernisations and equipment upgrades.
- Working in accordance with LOLER, PUWER and all relevant health and safety legislation.
- Producing accurate service reports and communicating technical recommendations to customers.
- Building strong customer relationships by providing expert advice and excellent service.
- Working safely at height and following all Lloyds British safety procedures.

What We're Looking For
You'll be a qualified engineer with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience working on cranes, hoists or similar lifting equipment.
Essential Requirements Include
- NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience maintaining, servicing or repairing overhead cranes and hoists.
- Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working at height.
