We're looking for a passionate and experienced Power Platform Engineer to help develop and evolve the Remediation CoE Power Platform solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex challenges, brings a forward-thinking mindset, and can turn business needs into practical, scalable solutions. You'll contribute to the development of innovative applications, automation, and digital capabilities that drive efficiency and deliver real value to operational and project teams.
At Nationwide we aim to get things right first time, but when something does go wrong, we pride ourselves in putting it right for our customers quickly and efficiently. As our name suggests, the Remediation Centre of Excellence is a specialised cross community capability who rapidly assimilate knowledge and build an understanding of emerging issues and incidents through analysis of data and processes to conduct the required remediation for impacted customers.

We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon or Northampton office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.
If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.

You'll collaborate with colleagues, share knowledge and provide day-to-day technical guidance to E1 engineers, helping them develop their skills and confidence while contributing to continuous improvement across the team.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity where you'll design, build, test and support Power Platform solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes. You'll apply your technical expertise to solve complex challenges, while using your communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders, build strong relationships and demonstrate the value our engineering work brings to the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
