Key Notes
For public- and private-sector clients, you’ll design highway, drainage and active-travel infrastructure for public- and private-sector clients from feasibility through detailed design and statutory approval. The role covers technical outputs, coordination across disciplines and support during construction, with opportunities to direct graduates and technicians. Civil-engineering design experience and knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, MfS and local standards are sought. This is a permanent hybrid Birmingham or London role.
What You'll Work On
- Prepare preliminary and detailed road, drainage and active-travel designs using DMRB, MCHW, MfS, TSM and relevant local-authority standards.
- Progress statutory approvals and provide design support during construction, coordinating the engineering inputs required from other disciplines on the scheme.
- Guide graduates and technicians on assigned highway design tasks and coordinate their technical outputs with the wider project team.
