PSV/HGV Mechanic /Technician – Thurso Depot

Are you looking to join a skilled and professional engineering team, maintaining and repairing a modern, diverse fleet? We’re looking for a qualified mechanic or technician with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) to join us as Engineers at our Thurso depot.

Our Thurso depot operates a diverse fleet of 16 vehicles, including single-deck public service vehicles and coaches, providing vital transport across the Caithness network.

What does the role involve:

As an Engineer at our Thurso depot, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
• Working as part of a skilled team, following scheduled maintenance plans, responding to defects, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
• Performing inspections, diagnosing faults, and carrying out major component changes.
• Maintaining accurate records of all work completed, ensuring compliance with company and legal safety standards.
• Working closely with colleagues and supervisors to contribute to a positive and professional workshop environment.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
