We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers' complex operational problems. As our business continues to grow, we are interested in speaking with a test engineer to join one of our live projects in our central government business unit.
At IIG, there's no such thing as a typical solution – we’re looking for talent that can keep up with our clients’ challenges, and set the pace for new ideation. We value intelligence and fast learners, flexibility, and excitement about tackling every new opportunity. Our work is highly collaborative, so friendly relationship builders are vital to our teams.
This role is ideal for someone with some prior commercial test engineering or test analyst experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test scripts to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform exploratory, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across multiple client applications and environments.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Ranorex to improve test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Execute testing activities within AWS-hosted environments, validating application functionality, performance, and deployment outcomes.
- Contribute to test planning, estimation, reporting, and risk assessment activities across multiple consultancy projects and client engagements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
