Powered Access Engineer – Tamworth

Monday to Friday | 07:30–17:00 | 40 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Powered Access Engineer to join our depot-based engineering team in Tamworth.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our powered access fleet safe, reliable and ready for hire, working on a wide range of equipment from leading manufacturers including Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG.

The Role

Working alongside our team of Engineers, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing powered access equipment
  • Refurbishing equipment ready to go back on hire
  • Fault finding and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues
  • Carrying out inspections and safety checks
  • Identifying and estimating repairs required
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Ensuring equipment meets our safety and quality standards
  • Keeping accurate service and maintenance records

What You’ll Need

  • Previous engineering experience within powered access or a similar environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong approach to safety
  • Experience with Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie or JLG equipment would be an advantage
  • CAP registration would be beneficial, but isn’t essential – we’ll support you with training and development to get there
