LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation)/Electrical Engineer Surveyor

Working Arrangements & Location

  • Hours: Available part-time, job-share, or full-time
  • Location: Primarily in the Castle Donnington area
  • Salary: Total package worth over £65,000, including a competitive salary of up to £57,594 (depending on experience)
  • Car: Essential Car User (EOU) status

About the Role

At Zurich Engineering, our Engineer Surveyor team is key to our success as they serve as the "Face of Zurich" to our diverse client base. You’ll manage your own workload, maintaining relationships with clients while representing Zurich Engineering.

With full flexibility, you’ll work independently or alongside our multi-disciplinary team, performing statutory inspections and developing your mechanical engineering expertise. No two days are the same, and you’ll earn autonomy over your work-life balance in a respected industry leader.

Zurich Engineering is seeking an experienced LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) or Electrical Engineer Surveyor to join our expanding team in Castle Donnington.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete industry-leading bespoke training, progressing rapidly into hands-on statutory inspections
  • Perform expert assessments of mechanical, electrical, and ventilation equipment
  • Ensure your clients comply with legislation and industry standards through your technical evaluations
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports using a rugged laptop and submit them to clients electronically
  • Travel across a designated client area to conduct inspections and maintain professional relationships
  • Use sound engineering judgement and apply your expertise to a diverse range of projects

Skills & Qualifications Required

Experience & Knowledge

✔ An experienced engineer with a strong understanding of LEV or electrical systems ✔ Multi-discipline inspection team member ✔ Reports to a Team Manager and operates from home (with reasonable travel for clients)

Certifications & Training

🔹 Aim for:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering field
  • Assistance available to achieve IEng (Incorporated Engineer) status
  • Preferable qualifications:
    • Compex certification
    • P601 LEV qualification 🔹 Education/Experience:
  • Time-served apprenticeship or Modern Apprenticeship completion
  • Hands-on engineering practical experience with a focus on pumps and motors preferred
  • Full valid UK driving licence

Flexibility & Commitments

🔹 Willingness to work paid overtime as required
