Salary: £44,600 per annum
Location: Lanarkshire
Shift Pattern: Backshift (1:00pm - 9:30pm)

Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturing business operating from a modern production facility in Lanarkshire. Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Engineer to join their maintenance team on a permanent backshift basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with the site's maintenance schedules and systems.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Complete and maintain all maintenance records and documentation accurately.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring parts are stored safely and correctly.
  • Keep production and departmental supervisors informed of breakdowns and maintenance progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the site.

Experience Required:

  • Electrical engineering experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience working with automation systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Advantageous:

  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • Experience with PLC control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings.
