Elastic Data Migration Engineer

Overview

Seeking an experienced Elastic engineer to design, implement, and support data ingestion and migration solutions for large-scale environments. The role involves building reliable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimising Elastic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Elastic data ingestion pipelines.
  • Migrate and validate large datasets into Elasticsearch.
  • Configure data streams, index templates, mappings, and lifecycle policies.
  • Troubleshoot data ingestion, performance, and mapping issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and produce supporting documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Agent, and Fleet.
  • Knowledge of ECS, ingest pipelines, and index management.
  • Experience with high-volume data migration and integration.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, APIs, or Syslog.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of ES|QL, KQL, or EQL.
  • Elastic certifications are advantageous.
