Engineering Administrator

Salary: Competitive salary

Our site in Devizes, Wiltshire, specialises in chilled desserts, including tarts, doughnuts, crumbles, pies, and pastries. The site employs over 580 people and is located close to Swindon, producing high-quality products at scale.

What you’ll be doing

This fast-paced and rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high-level administrative support to our engineering team, playing a vital part in streamlining operations and driving project success.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to reports on food and drink maintenance activities, internal performance, asset management plans, and submissions to regulators and certifying bodies
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation for food and drink maintenance work
  • Support administration of maintenance and operational team members in delivering engineering technical competence
  • Collate information to support internal and external audits in the food and drink sector
  • Manage filing systems and business correspondence, including handling confidential information
  • Support the CMMS procurement process and follow up on reconciliation tasks
  • Assist with logistics and procurement of component parts for food and drink processing and packaging assets
  • Support the selection of external suppliers, set objectives, and measure supplier performance within the asset management framework
  • Administer meetings, coordinate internal and external resources, schedule appointments, and document discussion content
  • Contribute to technical performance reviews in collaboration with other functions and stakeholders
  • Manage engineering inventory and maintain accurate records

What we’re looking for

  • Strong foundations in Maths and English
  • Confidence using IT systems and CMMS tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear communication and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Proactive approach to planning work, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance
  • Ability to navigate regulations, policies, and site procedures confidently
  • Qualifications in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Safety, or IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
  • Experience in FMCG, project management, or continuous improvement (advantageous)
