We are recruiting for an organised, proactive Engineering Administrator to join a busy engineering department within a well-known pharmaceutical client of ours on a 3-month contract. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering administrator/planner to play a key role supporting engineering operations, compliance, maintenance systems, and project activities.

The role:

This position will work directly with the Head of Engineering, providing administrative and organisational support across engineering functions such as manufacturing, automation, control systems, utilities, and facilities. The successful candidate will ensure engineering projects, operations, and quality systems remain organised.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Administration: Provide day-to-day support to the engineering function, maintain accurate records, documentation, and engineering information, and ensure all engineering activities and records remain audit-ready.
  • Compliance: Support workforce onboarding processes, maintain accurate employee records, and support engineering compliance.
  • CMMS: Maintain accuracy of CMMS data, maintain asset registers, monitor and support work orders, and ensure maintenance records are complete and accurate.
  • Contractor Management: Support the admin and control of PPE, manage documentation for permits and contractors, maintain paperwork and RAMS, and support safety and compliance processes.
  • Costs: Support control of engineering costs and budgets, maintain records for service contracts, assist with supplier invoices, and ensure engineering expenditure remains controlled.
  • Document Control: Maintain engineering documents, ensure documentation and records are maintained, and support external and internal audits.

  • Previous experience across engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Confident IT User with strong admin skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email systems, and presentations.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems is essential.
