Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Administrator to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will directly support the Engineering and Operations Teams with high levels of communication across all other departments in the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BOM Management: Create, maintain, and validate BoMs and master data across legacy and ERP platforms. Identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors in BOMs. Advise on optimal BoM structures and master product configuration data governance aligned with ERP capabilities and manufacturing / assembly industry standards.
  • ECR Management: Own and manage the engineering change process and related documentation. Proactive nature to process ECRs to completion to a high standard and within a timely manner, to meet/exceed KPIs.
  • Data Accuracy: Verifying BOM information against engineering product configuration data, drawings/schematics and related documents.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams to define data ownership, workflows, and processes.
  • Process Improvement: Enhancing BOM management processes for increased efficiency
  • Data Migration: Assist in data migration activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness during transition to ERP/PLM systems.
  • Document Control: Assist with company wide document management processes, acting as document controller.
  • Process Documentation: Assist the Quality team with ISO9001 procedures and documentation.

Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a BOM or Engineering administrator or a similar role. Background in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
  • ERP/PLM Systems: Proven experience in BoM creation, Master Data management, and ERP/PLM systems (e.g. Oracle, Orderwise or similar).
  • Engineering Change Process: Strong understanding of engineering change processes and documentation standards.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Previous involvement in ERP/PLM implementations and/or data migration projects is a plus.
  • Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Document Management Systems (e.g. Cognidox) and Jira, or similar engineering tools is a plus.
  • Working to ISO9001/AS9100 standards/processes
