Distribution
TransDev is a major distributor of industrial motion components.
These are key parts for power transmission, conveying and numerous specialist applications. To support our customers we hold over £5 million of stock and ship globally to OEMs, Distributors, Traders and individuals. Together with our complementary business divisions, we offer a full and expert package.
Special Belts Division
TransDev’s Special Belts Division has the expertise and capabilities to fulfil the most exacting of belting briefs. State of the art bespoke equipment has enabled TransDev to engineer and manufacture some of the most complex belts ever made, many within microns of pitch accuracy.
Manufacturing
With its well established Poole, Dorset based manufacturing facilities, TransDev is the UK’s largest timing pulley manufacturer of Pulleys, Gear cutting and Sprockets. With a capacity from 4mm to 1 metre in diameter, we utilise manual and CNC machining, operating three shifts per day.
Plastics Division
Our plastics division was created to machine components from sheet UHMWPe and is now a major supplier nationwide of such items as chain guides, belt guides and wear strips, bespoke machined parts as well as sheet and rod engineering and display plastics.
Linear Solutions
TransDev stocks linear ranges from two major brands, IKO and NTN-SNR. We can provide a complete solution for machine builders, users, and the trade. Our state of the art linear cutting production cell offers a quick turn around for all of your linear requirements.
Transmould
Transmould is TransDev’s expert onsite Injection Moulding service.

The Opportunity
If you are ambitious and enthusiastic, with an interest in a career in engineering then consider what an apprenticeship at a well-established Dorset company, who are leaders in their field could offer.
With a focus on the manufacturing workshop, successful candidates will be given the opportunity to spend time learning about the engineering and supporting processes in the TransDev business; whilst learning machining, manual and administrative skills that are in demand in today’s workplace. After successfully completing the Engineering Apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship.
