Role: Engineering Change Lead (Change Leader - Product Architecture)
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 37hpw, between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-13:00 Friday
Salary: between £36,000 and £40,000 pa DOE
We’re looking for a Change Leader to join our Product Architecture team at Warwick. This is an opportunity to play a central role in how product changes are assessed, agreed and introduced across the business. You’ll coordinate engineering change requests from initial submission through to review and approval, making sure the potential impact on cost, timescales, customers, suppliers and operational teams is fully understood before work begins. You’ll also chair the Change Review Board, bringing colleagues together to make clear, evidence-based decisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing and prioritising investigation and change requests
- Coordinating assessments across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance
- Chairing Change Review Board meetings and clearly recording decisions
- Making sure changes are properly assessed and approved before resources are committed
- Monitoring outstanding requests and supporting colleagues to resolve delays
- Preparing meeting information and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
- Identifying related changes that could be grouped to reduce cost and disruption
- Supporting the handover of approved changes for implementation
What we're looking for:
- Proven and demonstrable experience working in engineering, change management, configuration management or product data control
- Experience of chairing or supporting cross-functional review meetings
- Previous experience using a product data or product lifecycle management system, such as Teamcenter, Windchill or Arena
- Knowledge of the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to obsolescence
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification
- The ability to explain technical information clearly to colleagues from different areas of the business
- A structured and organised approach, with close attention to records, costs, risks and timescales
- The ability to build constructive working relationships and bring people together to reach balanced decisions
- An understanding of cost estimates, financial information and business cases
- Experience within automotive, heavy vehicle or industrial equipment manufacturing would be helpful, alongside knowledge of formal change assessment processes or relevant quality standards. Some travel to other UK sites and supplier locations may be required.
