About the Role
Essentia, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking an experienced Engineering Compliance Manager to help ensure that statutory and mandatory building and engineering requirements are met across its complex healthcare estate. The role will provide assurance over services delivered by both in-house teams and contracting partners, supporting safe, compliant, and effective estate operations.

Role Requirements
The successful candidate will have experience of engineering compliance management within a complex healthcare, estates, facilities, or infrastructure environment. They will demonstrate a strong track record in governance, auditing, inspections, risk management, compliance reporting, and regulatory readiness, with the judgement to identify gaps, escalate concerns, and support effective remedial action.
- A relevant engineering background is required.
- Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements, health and safety legislation, best practice standards, and Health Technical Memoranda.
- Knowledge of water safety will be particularly valuable.
- Methodical, resilient, and credible.
- Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
- Build effective relationships with operational colleagues, Responsible Persons, Authorising Engineers, contractors, and senior stakeholders.
