Role Description
The Engineering Consultant will provide technical risk assessment and engineering consulting services to clients in the Construction, Energy, and Engineering sectors. This full-time role involves analyzing systems and equipment, identifying potential failure modes and loss scenarios, and developing practical recommendations to reduce risk and improve safety. The Engineering Consultant will prepare technical reports, support incident investigations, and contribute to the development of risk management frameworks and standards-based solutions.

Part of the role is collaborating with clients and internal teams, staying current on emerging technologies and global standards, and presenting findings in clear, concise formats. This is an on-site role based in Kingston Upon Thames.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in engineering principles, with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant international and local engineering standards, codes, and regulatory frameworks. Demonstrate capability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends impacting construction, energy, and engineering sectors.
- Ability to analyze complex technical data, model loss scenarios, and translate findings into clear and concise engineering reports.
- Proficient in technical report writing, documentation, and presentation of engineering conclusions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site with diverse teams and client representatives.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and a methodical approach to problem solving and incident investigation.
- Experience with reliability engineering, safety engineering, or risk management consulting is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, inspections, and client meetings as project needs require.
