A Bit About What You Will Do...
The Engineering Coordinator will perform administrative activities to support the Engineering department including Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Provide ‘hands on’ skills to perform administrative activities to support the Engineering department including Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer
- Receive calls and follow up with suppliers, team members and other departments.
- Regularly log the jobs and distribute to the team and update the logs accordingly.
- Process quotes from vendors, purchase orders and invoices
- Record purchase orders in purchase order log by number and account code, in order to monitor the expenses
- Process invoices and matches with delivery notes and purchase orders to eliminate possible over charges or other discrepancies
- Update and file departmental records such as supplier’s insurance & liability documents, utility readings, monthly expenses and payroll
- Assist the Chief Engineer with daily and monthly departmental meetings. Maintain and coordinate appointments, meetings, and inspection schedule for Chief Engineer
- Issue the monthly rota via fourth for the team and update the schedules on a weekly basis
- Ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards

- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
- Capable to work in a busy environment.
- Passionate, ambitious, hardworking and who take genuine interest about providing a thoughtful and generous service. This job often requires: Carrying, lifting pushing and/or pulling items, frequently standing up and moving about the hotel, frequently handling objects, and equipment, and frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
