What You'll Do at Work

This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in engineering with a company that values quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. As an Engineering design apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to become a competent design engineer, including producing accurate technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software. Working closely with design engineers, manufacturing, and production teams, you will assist in creating designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards while developing your technical knowledge through the apprenticeship standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of new products
• Produce and update 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
• Support prototype builds, product testing, and design validation
• Help prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and design specifications
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure products are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control
• Follow company health, safety, and quality procedures
