At Skanska, we’re shaping the way we live, work and connect. As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.

You will be working in the Infrastructure function working on our Anglian Water Project. Through our role in the @one Alliance, we’re helping Anglian Water deliver a £2.6 billion investment in vital infrastructure. From civil works to water treatment facilities, this programme strengthens environmental protection across the East of England - safeguarding water resources for generations to come. We are currently looking for an Engineering & Design Manager who will deliver projects safely, on time, and sustainably - driving efficiency and strong performance without compromising governance.

As The Engineering & Design Manager, You Will

  • Lead the design and technical delivery of clean water and water recycling projects across infrastructure and treatment assets.
  • Own Engineering Project Plans, covering scope, programme, cost, risk, and resource requirements.
  • Align multidisciplinary teams to set design direction, maintain technical standards, and deliver fully integrated solutions.
  • Drive innovation through digital design, BIM-enabled models, and sustainable low-carbon, whole-life thinking.
  • Lead and develop the design team while working closely with project, procurement, environmental, and construction teams to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
