Mec-Com Fitter Apprentice Opportunity

Mec-Com are looking to recruit an enthusiastic fitter apprentice to join their team. You will assist experienced mechanical engineers with the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems.

Day to Day Tasks

  • Assist in the assembly and fitting of mechanical components and machinery
  • Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and assembly instructions
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment safely and accurately
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and fault-finding on mechanical equipment
  • Supporting the installation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites where required
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Work closely with skilled fitters, fabricators, and engineers to complete projects on time
  • Record work completed and contribute to continuous improvement activities
