Company Description
Voxshell builds automated 3D meshing and simulation technology for advanced engineering applications. Our software helps engineering teams move from complex geometry to CFD and FEA simulation more efficiently and reliably.
Preferred Starting date: 1 October 2026
Duration: 3 months (part-time, flexible)
Location: London preferred / Remote
Compensation: £1,500 per month
Eligibility: Right to work in the UK required
About the Role
We’re looking for a postgraduate or PhD student who enjoys building real engineering tools and working with CFD and simulation workflows.
This is a hands-on internship where you’ll contribute to improving usability, onboarding, simulation workflows, and software releases for real engineering software. You’ll work directly with the founders and gain exposure to product development in a deep-tech engineering environment.

What You'll do
- Build and test CFD simulation workflows using OpenFOAM
- Develop practical CFD and meshing demo cases
- Help design a smooth onboarding experience for new users
- Improve workflow clarity and ease of use
- Support software packaging, testing, and release improvements
- Contribute to quick-start guides, tutorials, and FAQs
- Test workflows from geometry and meshing through to simulation results
You won’t be working in isolation: this is a collaborative role with technical mentorship.
Who We're looking for
- Background in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or computational science
- Some experience with CFD or numerical simulation
- Comfortable working with simulation, CAD, or geometry tools
- A builder mindset, you enjoy making things that work
- Self-driven, practical, and curious

Bonus if you’ve worked with OpenFOAM, Grasshopper, meshing tools, Python, or similar engineering workflows.
