About the Business & Site

This facility is a critical, foundational processing hub within a global chocolate manufacturing network. Responsible for taking raw cocoa bean deliveries and transforming them into cocoa fats, liquors, and drinking powders, this site serves as the crucial first link supplying internal network sites and third-party partners.

The site employs circa 300 full-time staff alongside a significant contingent of contractors. It operates a heavy industrial processing line (grinding, roasting, milling, compression, and blending) alongside a newer, highly automated packaging section. The site blends heritage infrastructure with a major upcoming investment roadmap, offering an exceptional opportunity to lead modern engineering change on a foundational site.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Site Head, the Engineering Lead will oversee all processing and packing engineering operations. You will lead a dedicated team of 20 technicians across both areas (mix of day-based and shift-based, single and multi-skilled) via two direct-report Engineering Managers. Additionally, you will manage a high volume of infrastructure, specialized engineering, and regular OEM contractors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
