Lead the Future of Financial Planning Technology

We're partnering with a leading UK wealth management organisation undergoing significant technology transformation and seeking an experienced Engineering Lead - Financial Planning (iRESS Xplan) to take ownership of a business-critical financial planning platform.

This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong leader who combines hands-on engineering expertise with strategic technology leadership. You'll act as the senior technical authority for the financial planning ecosystem, driving platform evolution, integration strategy, engineering excellence, and team development.

Working at the intersection of Financial Planning, CRM, Data, and Wealth Technology, you'll play a key role in shaping the future technology landscape supporting advisers and clients across the organisation.

The Role

As Engineering Lead, you'll own the design, development, integration, and operation of the firm's financial planning platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and fit for future growth.

You'll provide technical leadership across engineering teams, establish best practice standards, mentor colleagues, and guide architectural decisions, while maintaining a hands-on involvement in platform delivery and optimisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
