Tasks and Qualifications:

Working alongside experienced Maintenance Technicians, you'll play a key role in keeping our automated systems operating safely and efficiently.

  • Providing first-line response to faults, blockages and issues across automated material handling equipment
  • Assisting with planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Supporting Maintenance Technicians during breakdowns and repair activities
  • Completing planned and reactive work orders within agreed service levels
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks under approved Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Resolving operational issues within agreed timescales to maintain service delivery
  • Using maintenance systems and tools to support effective fault resolution
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with customer teams on site
  • Ensuring all activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
  • Contributing ideas to improve system performance, site efficiency and team effectiveness

We're looking for people with the right attitude, aptitude and ambition.

  • An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction, Maintenance or a related technical discipline
  • Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical, electrical or technical equipment
  • A practical understanding of mechanical, electrical or software-controlled systems
  • Good IT skills and confidence using technology
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety
  • The physical capability to work within a large, active operational environment.
  • Has a genuine interest in engineering and automation
  • Is eager to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Wants to progress and build a long-term engineering career
  • Understands that learning complex automated systems takes time and is prepared to embrace the challenge
  • Has the confidence to speak up, share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Thrives as part of a high-performing team

This role operates within a 24/7 engineering operation and follows a rotating shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends.
