WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is looking for an Engineering Maintenance Manager (E&M) to join our E&M Business Stream on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week. Based in Glasgow, the role will move to Stepps when we relocate within six months.
Reporting to the E&M Director, you will lead our planned maintenance programme, ensuring electrical and mechanical assets are maintained safely, efficiently and to the standards our clients expect. You will oversee field-based teams and work closely with our joint venture partner, specialist contractors and supply chain to keep essential infrastructure operating reliably.
You will take ownership of programme planning, resources, team development and financial performance. This is an opportunity to influence how we deliver, strengthen our maintenance capability and support your teams with practical decisions that make a difference every day.

What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical and mechanical planned maintenance delivery, meeting safety, quality, cost, programme and customer requirements.
- Develop and manage maintenance programmes, aligning people, technical skills, specialist contractors and supply chain resources with delivery priorities.
- Provide visible leadership and practical support to field-based teams, resolving delivery challenges, managing risks and maintaining high standards.
- Manage operational and financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, performance reports and monthly Board updates.
- Coach and develop your teams through clear objectives, performance management, recruitment, succession planning and skills development.
- Improve asset reliability and delivery performance through data analysis, root cause investigation and better ways of working, while supporting bids, quotations and commercial opportunities.
Essential
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading electrical and mechanical maintenance operations or engineering delivery teams in a regulated industrial environment.
- Strong people leadership skills, with experience motivating, developing and managing field-based engineering teams.
- Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, resources and changing priorities.
- Commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing budgets, controlling costs and monitoring performance.

Desirable
- An engineering, manufacturing or related qualification at degree, HND or equivalent Level 5.
- Experience in water, wastewater, utilities or industrial maintenance; and familiarity with asset reliability, maintenance optimisation, joint venture working or tender submissions.
