• Project Oversight

  • Lead major capital projects, ensuring adherence to:
    • COMAH (process safety regulations)

    • DSEAR (Dangerous Substances & Explosive Atmospheres Regulations)
    • Environmental compliance

• Early-Stage Risk Mitigation

  • Integrate inherently safer design principles from conception to commission.

Principle E: Asset Integrity & Reliability

Key Responsibilities:

• Long-Term Asset Care

  • Ensure compliance with statutory inspections (PSSR, ATEX, LOLER), maintaining equipment integrity across:
    • Pressure systems
    • Piping networks
    • Tanks and relief devices

• Failure Investigation

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents or near-misses, collaborating with maintenance/operations.

• Maintenance & Reliability

  • Partner with Operations to reduce risks from ageing assets while enhancing operational resilience.

Requirements & Professional Growth

Technical Education & Experience:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hold NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health), HNC (Higher National Certificate) Engineering or comparable leadership credentials.
