Engineering Manager

We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead teams delivering Cloudsmith’s artifact management platform to software teams worldwide. You’ll drive delivery of new product capabilities, develop strong engineers, and help scale our engineering organisation through its next phase of growth.

About Cloudsmith

Cloudsmith is building the operating system for the modern software supply chain.

We run a global, fully managed, multi-tenant SaaS platform that helps organizations manage, secure, govern, and distribute software artifacts at scale.

Our customers use Cloudsmith as critical infrastructure for CI/CD, developer workflows, security controls, compliance, and software distribution. We proxy and cache public open-source indexes, scan artifacts for vulnerabilities, licensing issues, and malware, and let organizations enforce policy as a dependency firewall. We support 30+ formats across languages, containers, and operating systems.

We recently raised our Series C to accelerate Cloudsmith 2.0: deeper artifact intelligence, stronger policy and provenance, faster package-aware delivery, and infrastructure built for engineering teams, as well as the modern AI-driven software factory.

By developers, for developers. We care about craft, openness, and transparency.

The Role

As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead high-performing teams delivering a large-scale, cloud-native application to software teams worldwide.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving new features on our artifact management platform, scaling operations to support our continued growth, fostering a strong engineering culture, mentoring engineers in their professional development, and guiding ongoing improvements across engineering.

You should be technical enough to earn trust in architecture, design, and operational discussions with senior and principal engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead the delivery of new product capabilities across multiple teams.
  • Maximise business value by empowering teams to operate at peak performance and holding them accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Remove blockers to success, troubleshooting and mediating to find solutions where required.
  • Stay focused on meeting commitments and delighting customers.

Team Leadership

  • Help individuals develop through effective coaching, 1:1s, mentoring, and career planning.
  • Promote excellent communication within the team, based on trust, transparency, and honesty.
  • Address underperformance appropriately and with suitable urgency.
  • Take an active role in hiring and growing the engineering team, laying the foundations for teams to execute successfully.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
