Engineering Manager

London | Hybrid

Myn is recruiting for a technology-led financial services organisation and is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team responsible for business-critical software and digital platforms.

We're looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with genuine technical credibility. You don't need to be writing production code every day, but you should understand modern software engineering well enough to challenge decisions, support senior engineers and help teams deliver better technology.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the performance, development, and delivery of an engineering team, working closely with Product, Architecture, Platform, and other technology leaders.

A major part of the role will be creating an environment where engineers can perform at their best. That means removing blockers, improving engineering practices, developing people, and making sure technical quality isn't sacrificed for short-term delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
