Team Context

At Aflac Northern Ireland, we're building a comprehensive ecosystem of Third-Party Integrations (TPI) that seamlessly connect external partners, vendors, and service providers with our core insurance platform.

Our Third Party Integration strategy centres on integration-first, API-driven engineering leadership that enables effortless connectivity across our partner ecosystem. As Engineering Manager for TPI, you will lead a team specializing in third-party system integrations, API management, and data synchronization solutions that power Aflac's expanding network of external partnerships.

The Role

We're seeking an Engineering Manager passionate about system integration, API architecture, and partner enablement who can balance technical leadership with effective stakeholder management across internal teams and external partners. You'll lead engineers while driving adoption of modern integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and scalable API ecosystems.

As the TPI Engineering Manager, you'll have accountability for all third-party integrations and will work closely with Director of Engineering, Product Managers, Architecture teams, and external partner technical teams to deliver seamless integration experiences while growing specialized integration engineering talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a specialized team of integration engineers and API developers
  • Building expertise in API design, integration patterns, data transformation, and partner onboarding processes
  • Coordinating with partner technical teams, vendor representatives, and internal stakeholders on integration requirements
  • Fostering a partnership-minded, solution-oriented engineering culture focused on external collaboration and system reliability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
