Engineering Manager
Manchester (Hybrid)
Up to £100,000 + benefits
We’re working with a high-growth SaaS business building innovative products in the B2B sales and marketing space. They’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team delivering customer-facing products.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong hands-on engineering background who has moved into leadership, but still enjoys staying close to the code and driving engineering quality.
The Role
You’ll lead a team of engineers, owning both delivery performance and people development, while helping shape engineering standards and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and mentoring engineers, supporting performance and career growth
- Driving engineering quality, standards, and best practices
- Monitoring team performance and improving delivery efficiency
- Supporting hiring and retention of top engineering talent
- Promoting a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture
- Contributing technically where needed (code reviews, architecture, problem-solving)
Tech Environment
Modern stack including: Typescript, Node.js / NestJS, Vue.js, Redis, SQL Server & Snowflake

What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in software engineering (hands-on experience essential)
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Solid understanding of clean code, design patterns & DevOps practices
- Experience building scalable, maintainable systems
- Knowledge of testing, performance, and secure development
- Strong communication and leadership skills
