Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and delivery of Yuno's payment infrastructure.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team.
- Own system and integration architecture connecting backend services and payment flows.
- Drive best practices in API design, testing, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Partner with Product, Backend, and Payments teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and well-documented.
- Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to engineers.
Requirements/Skills/Qualifications
- Engineering Leadership: Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- Technical Decision-Making: Strong ability to drive technical decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Payments Expertise: Experience in payments companies or PSP integrations.
- Payments Infrastructure: Deep experience with payments infrastructure.
- Backend Engineering: Proficiency in Java, Golang, Kotlin, or similar languages.
- Architecture: Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Databases: Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Security: Knowledge of secure software development practices and OWASP principles.
- AI-First Development: Experience with AI-assisted coding and automated testing.
- Agile Delivery: Experience in agile environments.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Language: Advanced proficiency in English.
