Engineering Manager
Glossop | Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to take ownership of the engineering and maintenance function within an established site-based operation.
Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will be a key member of the site management team, responsible for ensuring engineering activities support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Engineering and maintenance strategy
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Engineering resources and budgets
- Plant and equipment reliability
- Statutory inspections and compliance
- Contractor management
- Risk assessments and permit-to-work systems
- Health & Safety
- Environmental standards
- Continuous improvement
- Engineering records and performance reporting
- Safe commissioning of new or relocated equipment

You will also work closely with senior management and other departments to continually improve engineering standards and ensure the site operates within its required quality, safety, and environmental frameworks.

You should have strong experience within a manufacturing, production, process, or industrial environment, together with a good understanding of engineering compliance, maintenance systems, contractor management, and health & safety.
