Engineering Manager

Location: Lincolnshire

Salary: Up to £90k plus car allowance, plus bonus


About the Role

We are working with an FMCG Manufacturer who is recruiting for an Engineering Manager to lead the onsite engineering team. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll inspire and elevate the engineering team, drive continuous upskilling, and keep operations running smoothly to increase and retain reliability.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead all engineering and site services operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable performance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Shape and deliver the site engineering strategy, driving asset reliability, performance improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Manage engineering budgets and capital expenditure, leading investment projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership to support food safety, HACCP compliance, and cross-functional operational objectives.
  • Develop and inspire a high-performing engineering team, embedding strong safety culture, succession planning, and capability growth.

Requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing departmental budgets and delivering cost-effective operational performance.
  • Experience delivering capital projects and infrastructure upgrades within an operational production environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage, coach, and motivate teams at all levels of the organisation.
